For co-founder Sully, coffee started around age 13 and somehow became a reliable companion through decades of academia, long workdays, big goals, questionable choices, and the general experience of trying to get a lot out of life while remaining mostly psychologically intact.

EXISTENCE grew from a pretty simple idea: if something is part of your daily life, it should be good. Reliable. Consistent. Worth coming back to.
Coffee, tea, and functional beverages are part of how many of us work, think, create, recover, socialize, and get through long days without becoming completely unreasonable. So we focus on well-made products for people who already have enough going on, but will still probably do more.
Everything we offer is intentionally chosen for quality, drinkability, and the role it plays in real life — whether that’s starting the day strong, staying functional through the afternoon, maintaining patience during unnecessary meetings, or taking a long walk and having a little adventure.
Alongside Sully is co-founder Bodhi, an American Staffordshire Terrier with a strong work ethic when snacks are involved, very clear opinions about walks and adventures, and a talent for finding something fun to do if entertainment is not provided quickly enough. He’s equal parts athletic, silly, creatively naughty, and oversized snuggle buddy.
EXISTENCE is for people who care about quality, intention, performance, and enjoying the process while they’re building whatever they’re building.
